Capel Parish Council is working with local volunteers to help fight the virus that has disrupted our lives, and threatens the well being of many local residents. We intend to develop this website to point residents to available local resources and contacts during the crisis.
An Emergency Meeting of the Council on March 23rd agreed to suspend the normal workings of the council and allow the clerk to run the Council in consultation with the chairman and vice-chairman, and where relevant the chairs of the relevant committee.
There will be no more face to face meetings for the time being and the Annual Parish Meeting scheduled for 29th April has been postponed indefinitely. The Parish election has also been postponed until May 6th 2021. We await further guidance from the government on the legality of virtual council meetings. An update on this will follow when available.
