The Queen’s Canopy Project
The Parish Council has purchased 7 oak trees to mark each decade of the Queen’s reign. 5 oak trees are to be planted on the Five Oak Green Recreation Ground and we are looking for a home for the remaining 2 oak trees.
We also have 100 saplings to plant.
Please do contact me if you have a suggestion where the remaining 2 oak trees can be planted and the saplings.
Commemorative Events
On Saturday 4 June we will be holding an ‘unveiling’ event on the recreation ground and all residents are invited to bring a picnic to celebrate this event. The cricket club will be opening the bar. More details to follow
Thursday 2 June – Beacon lighting ceremony at St Thomas a Becket Church
Sunday 5 June is your chance to hold a street party!
