I moved into the Parish in 1960, living in Tudeley. I attended Capel School before moving on to secondary school in Tonbridge. Living in Tudeley until 1982 when I got married, but after 5 years in Tunbridge Wells my wife and I returned to the Parish living in Five Oak Green. After returning to the Parish I have continued with my love of the countryside and regularly use the network of public rights of way across the parish and beyond. I have a keen interest in photography and military history and some of you may have read my articles in the Parish Magazine commemorating the brave young men from the Parish who fought in the First World War. I am also the Parish Poppy Appeal Organiser for the Paddock Wood and District Royal British Legion Branch. In addition to my role as National Vice-Chairman of the Italy Star Association. Since my retirement I have become involved with the events held at St Thomas à Beckets church. I feel that it is important that the all of the population of the Parish is represented on the Parish Council and try to ensure that the views of those living outside of the village are listened to.
