Capel Cricket Club was re-founded in 2011 after the Cricket square and pavilion had lain derelict for many years. The club plays friendly fixtures on the recreation on Sundays from May to September. There is a junior coaching session each Sunday from April to September starting at 10am. There is a women’s team playing softball cricket. They have a coaching session on Friday evenings during the season.
The club has a licenced bar which is open during cricket related activities during the season. It also runs a number of social activities, including a popular quiz during the winter. The club has a large social membership (£10 a year). Playing membership men and women is £20 a year; new members playing or social are always welcome.
