The Parish Council has been working with Kent County Councils’ Highways Improvement Team to reduce the speed limit on Alders Road in response to resident’s concerns.
KCC has confirmed that they are happy to pursue a reduction in the speed limit on Alders Road from the National Speed Limit to 40mph if the Parish Council can demonstrate that local residents support the scheme.
The Parish Council will also need to fund the cost of the Traffic Regulation Order and design works.
